Hey guys, so.. I thought I was tuesday.. but I guess ken did tuesday too! great minds think alike, huh? haha. Anywho, as for the QT. Let's get started...
[The Pharisees came and began to question Jesus. To test him, they asked him for a sign from heaven. He sighed deeply and said, "Why does this generation ask for a miraculous sign? I tell you the truth, no sign will be given to it."] -Mark 8:11-12
This bible verse pretty much explains what happens constantly in the real world today. Often times, both Christians and non-Christians alike, question the bible and Jesus simply because there is no "proof" or "miracle". Throughout the past, I, in addition, have been one of those people who questioned the bible and often found myself praying these exact words "Dear God, if You are real please let [this] happen". I am sure many of you guys have done the same and it is perfectly natural because we are human. It is in our nature to doubt for we are sinful. But, in order to be great, in order to be something/someone different, we must refrain from doubting our Father and simply just have faith. We have faith in our own biological fathers that he will be able to feed us and shelter us... why can we not have faith in our spiritual father? Faith is so powerful. For example, when we are leading praise for the congregation, if you have faith in yourself and God, it makes everything so much more easier and satisfying. Honestly, it is hard to put into words what I mean by the effects of faith but I am sure most of you guys will understand. So today's message was to have faith in our Father :) Amen brothers and sister(s)!

oh I forgot to go by Anthony's "guidelines".. so I will continue on here... As for prayer requests.. Like Ken said Haiti would be a good one. but as for personal ones.. please pray for my dedication for both church and school. So that they will not hinder and will be able to grow (that's for church). As for school, so that I won't skip classes and will always be as diligent as I can be.
ReplyDeleteyeah danny, faith is really powerful. and i think a lot of us try to ask God for signs not only to prove something but just because it's the easy way out. i think faith is simple as long as faith is in God and nothing else.

Dang yo, real talk Daniel. I've been guilty of doing the same thing several times. As RC said I think when were down we do look for the easiest way out and we ask for God to solve our problems. But, sometimes adversity is good for the soul and the best way for us to grow.
ReplyDeleteSo what I do is ask God to guide me in the right direction rather than solve my problems. In the end the choices that we make in life are of our own fruition.
PS. Haha, yeah great minds do think alike. Its all good, were bringing tuesdays(sexy) back haha
